Aspettando la sera
Waiting for evening
This work was born from the memory of a single moment: the charged, electric stillness of a summer evening just before twilight.
On a deep black canvas, I wanted to capture that tension. The sudden bursts of red and shimmering gold leaf are the last defiant acts of the day, colliding with the quiet blues of the approaching night. The energetic gestures are a direct translation of that feeling, a perfect balance of chaos and calm.
The painting is not about the evening itself, but about the waiting. It is the holding of a breath, just before the world changes.
