Living in Umbria, I’ve learned that the earth itself holds memory. You feel it under your feet: an unbroken chain of footsteps on the same soil.

This work is my attempt to give that powerful feeling a physical body. I conceived its form as a tear in the fabric of time, exposing the stratified depths within. The crackled surfaces are aged frescoes, the textures are stones smoothed by generations of hands, and the flowing blue-green of the Plexiglas is the living current of the past surging into our present, like the scent of woodsmoke on a morning of fog.

For me, this is the truth of this land: every place is a palimpsest. This work is not a story about time; it is an invitation to stand within it.
