An abstract sculpture with a textured, painted core, surrounded by orange, green, and blue Plexiglas forms on a clear base.

Connections Nr. 6

Every so often in the studio, the dam breaks. A chaotic flood of new forms, new feelings. Connections nr. 6 was born right in the middle of one of those weeks.

I needed to anchor that beautiful chaos, so I started with a dense, hand-built ceramic form as a point of stillness. But from it, everything bursts forth: a new palette of orange, a new structural language in green, a surprising new depth of blue. I was trying to hold onto not the ideas themselves, but the thrilling, electric sensation of their arrival.

This piece is a moment made solid. As part of my Lighting Events series, it's a dialogue between a grounded form and the flash of revelation. It’s a self-portrait, not of my face, but of the very moment of creative ignition.
