Nel Giallo
In the Yellow
The spark for this work was a simple moment in my studio: late afternoon light catching on fragments of plexiglass, a quiet interplay of shadow and intensity, softness and sharpness.
That memory is what I built on the canvas. Bold, architectural forms rise up, their matte, absorbent surfaces deliberately broken by two luminous strips of plexiglass. They aren’t just additions; they are interventions, embedded directly into the cut surface. It's the dialogue between the painted surface and the industrial sheen of the object that charges the work with a subtle, visual vibration.
It requires you to slow down and look closer. It is an invitation to stand in that uncertain, beautiful space where a painting is no longer just a painting, but is becoming something else entirely.
