A striking contemporary wall sculpture by Laura Alunni, blending hand-painted Plexiglas with bold color and celestial forms.

Il silenzio si copre di stelle
The silence is covered with stars

This work was born from the silence after a storm here in Umbria. The air was dense, almost physical, until my eyes adjusted and the stars began their slow, radiant arrival.

The warm, painted forms of the sculpture are that silence, the emotional heat I felt standing under that new sky. The yellow orb is the moon, a steady, quiet anchor in the darkness. Across this warmth, clear Plexiglas elements cut like constellations, each one a sharp, luminous connection found within the vastness.

And the deep blue band that slices through it all? That is the moment of sudden clarity. A thought like a shooting star.

It is a map of a single, quiet moment. A testament to that intake of breath when the world, for an instant, reveals its true structure.
