Artistic Journey
Alunni’s career began in the 1980s with restless experimentation in Perugia, leading to acclaimed large-scale watercolors and, by 1998, a pivotal solo exhibition of oils and acrylics at the historic Antognolla Castle.
A defining period of study in 2003 under the German Master Mordmuller at Venice’s International School of Graphic Arts deepened her engagement with Renaissance techniques, which she fused with a modern, abstract-expressionist sensibility.
This synthesis gained critical recognition in 2010, when art historian Leo Strozzieri likened her work to that of the Futurist masters; a validation that propelled her practice onto a global stage.
Research, Collaborations, and New Frontiers
Alunni’s research consistently pushes the boundaries of her own practice. She has engaged in notable cross-disciplinary collaborations, including:
-
Painting on a live body for photographer Eric Ceccarini’s The Painters Project (2018)
-
A prestigious commission from Chartesia Publishing to create a profound visual reinterpretation of Dante’s Divine Comedy (2021)
More recently, her work has extended to the frontier between the physical and digital, exploring the concept of permanence through select works accompanied by NFTs, which she frames as an immutable echo of an artwork’s soul.
Following a period of strategic, internal research (2021–2024), Alunni’s current work reflects a new consciousness, layering moments to explore the weight and lightness of time itself.
Collections and Legacy
Her work is held in numerous private and public collections across Italy and abroad, confirming her lasting contribution to the contemporary art scene.
