Over the course of a long studio practice, she has developed a materially driven language spanning painting, mixed media, and works approaching sculptural form.
Her research explores accumulation, fracture, transparency, and transformation, treating matter not as a passive vehicle but as an active site of emergence.

Earlier series such as Echoes of an Inner Atlas and Lighting Events established a vocabulary of layered surfaces, spatial instability, and the tension between image and object, forming the basis of her ongoing investigation into perception, memory, and the generative potential of disruption.

Following sustained studio research, Alunni has consolidated her practice around Entropy where unstable materials, tactile interventions, and controlled alteration processes explore collapse not as disappearance but as a productive, transformative force.
The resulting works define a distilled phase of her practice, where vulnerability becomes both method and form.

Her work has been exhibited in Italy and abroad, including the International Contemporary Art Fair at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, and the International Artist’s Book and Design Festival in Milan curated by James Bradburne. It is held in public collections including the Barbarigo Institute, Padua, the Museo Diocesano, Alba (Italy) and the Copelouzos Family Art Museum, Athens, and features in the Catalogo dell’Arte Moderna published by Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori, as well as in private collections across Italy and internationally.
